Peace in God's Sovereignty and man's suffering-גַּן הָאָטָד GARDEN OF THE THORN
$20.00
This Comfort Colors tee is made from 100% ring-spun cotton and garment-dyed for that soft, lived-in feel from the very first wear. The relaxed fit, heavyweight fabric, and durable double-needle stitching make it substantial without feeling stiff. It is the kind of shirt that feels already broken in — steady, familiar, enduring.
As we close out Genesis, we are intentionally returning to the colors that marked the beginning of these collections. The tones that carried us into the story now wrap it up. What began in promise now rests in fulfillment.
These colors are not random. They are theological.
Garden of the Thorn
The Ivory tee carries the “Garden of the Thorn” design, rooted in the Hebrew imagery woven through the Joseph devotionals.
The phrase draws from two powerful Hebrew words:
גַּן (gan) — garden
קוֹץ (qots) — thorn
From Genesis 2 to Genesis 3, we move from gan to qots. From cultivated beauty to cursed ground. From abundance to resistance.
Joseph’s story unfolds in what feels like thorn-covered soil — betrayal, false accusation, prison, famine. Yet even there, God is cultivating covenant. Even in qots, the Lord is still Lord of the gan.
Ivory is not stark white. It carries warmth — like parchment, like ancient pages, like earth dust breathed into life. It reflects both innocence and age, garden and fall, promise and fracture.
Paired with the “Garden of the Thorn” design, Ivory reminds us:
Peace is not the absence of thorns.
It is the presence of God within them.
